Vickie Olson, 37

Fargo, N.D. - Vickie Olson, 37, died on Sunday, March 2, 2003 at Meritcare Hospital in Fargo, N.D.

Funeral services were held on Friday, March 7 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sabin and on Saturday, March 8 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Plummer. Interment was in Oak Grove Cemetery of Red Lake Falls.

Vickie Janelle Hesse was born on July 26, 1965, the daughter of Floyd and Fern (Malwitz) Hesse in Red Lake Falls. She was baptized and confirmed at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Plummer. She grew up and attended school in Plummer, graduating from Pershing High School. She attended the Thief River Falls AVTI, graduating with a cosmetology license. She moved to Moorhead where she worked at Cost Cutters, then managed the Magic Touch Salon in Moorhead. She also worked at Norwest Bank in Fargo, N.D.

On June 17, 1989, Vickie was united in marriage to Ross Olson in Thief River Falls. The couple made their home in Moorhead. She had worked for the Wells Fargo Operations Center in Fargo, N.D. for the past 15 years. She loved camping, crafting, scrap-booking, flower gardening, sewing, car shows and swap meets. She was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Sabin since 1991, where she taught Sunday School.

Survivors include her husband, Ross; her children, Chelsey, Brandon and Cierra, all of Moorhead; her parents, Floyd and Fern Hesse of Plummer; and three sisters, Diane Grinde of Elk River, Bonnie (Patrick) Wichterman of Baldwin, N.D. and Nancy Jo (Karl) Mattison of Amissville, Va.

Vickie was preceded in death by a brother, Scott Hesse and a brother-in-law. A00003B2003MR12
