Robert Olson, 52

Bemidji - Robert "Bob" Olson, 52, died Tuesday, May 29, 2001 at his home in Bemidji.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 1, at Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home in Bemidji with Rev. Arlo Feiock officiating. Interment was at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, June 1, at Riverside Cemetery in Lake Bronson with Rev. Mitchell Tolpingrud officiating at the graveside service.

Robert Bruce Olson was born on June 14, 1948 in Crookston, the son of Howard and Clara (Mattson) Olson. He grew up and attended school in Lake Bronson, graduating from high school. He received an Associate of Arts degree from the University of Minnesota, Crookston and attended Bemidji State University.

On November 14, 1970, he married Gayle Peterson in Karlstad, and they made their home in Thief River Falls where Bob worked at Arctic Cat. Bob also lived in Fargo, N.D. before moving to Bemidji. He drove a mail truck in Bemidji until 1978 when he opened Bob Olson Auto Sales, a used car business.

He enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Survivors include a son, Nick J. Olson of Bemidji; his mother, Clara Olson of Lake Bronson; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father; a son, Casey; and a brother, John. A00003B2000JN06
