Ethel Olson, 91

McIntosh &endash; Ethel Olson, 91, of McIntosh, died on Thursday, July 4, 2002 at the McIntosh Manor Nursing Home in McIntosh. Olson, Ethel

Funeral services were held on Monday, July 8, 2002, at Nazareth Lutheran Church, rural Oklee, with Rev. Joseph Abrahamson officiating. Burial will be at Nazareth Lutheran Cemetery, Hickory Township, Pennington County.

Ethel Livina Halvorson was born May 28, 1911 in Hickory Township, Pennington County, to the late Elick and Jennie (Erickson) Halvorson. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith. She grew up and attended school in Hickory Township.

On January 7, 1943, Ethel was united in marriage to Arne Olson. The couple farmed and raised their family in Hickory Towsnhip. In 1987, she moved to her daughter's farm in Lessar Township. The past few years she has made her home at the McIntosh Manor in McIntosh.

Survivors include daughters, Marlene Halseth, Minneapolis, and Marion Olson, McIntosh; two step sons, James and John Olson; grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arne, grandson, Lyle, parents, sisters, Ella Kingdom, Hilda Box, Amanda Krasses, Esther Halvorson; brotherss: Harbo and Arthur; step daughter Joan Battleson, and step son Billy.
