Goodridge
- Cora Olson, 98, died on Saturday, December
14, 2002 at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in
Minneapolis.
Funeral
services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday,
December 18 (today) at Faith Lutheran Church in
Goodridge with Rev. Robert Dahlin officiating.
Margie Iverson will be the organist and Elaine
Rebelein will be the soloist. Casketbearers will be
John Hoffman, Rodney Hoffman, Roger Hoffman, Harris
Engebretson, Marvin Rebelein, Ernest Race and Adam
Johnson. Interment will be in Rosendahl Cemetery in
rural Goodridge. Visitation will be held for one
hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.
Memorials are preferred to Faith Lutheran Church in
Goodridge.
Cora
Alvina Olson was born on October 7, 1904, the
daughter of Oscar and Tilda (Peterson) Olson in
Espelie Township of Marshall County. She was
baptized and confirmed in Rosendahl Lutheran
Church. She attended rural school and graduated
from Lincoln High School in 1926.
Cora
lived on the family farm and enjoyed gardening,
flowers and working with all the farm animals. In
1994, she moved to Edina and lived with her cousin,
John Peterson and his wife, Nathalie. John died in
1999 and Cora continued to live with his widow,
Nathalie, until her death. Nathalie was Cora's
caregiver for eight years.
Survivors
include several cousins and her caregiver, Nathalie
Peterson of Coon Rapids.
Cora
was preceded in death by her parents and brothers,
Norance, Edward, Helmer and Clarence Olson.
