Lake Falls - Charlotte Olson, 87, died Sunday,
April 25, 2004 at Riverview Health Hospital,
Crookston.
Funeral
services will be held at
10
a.m. on Thursday, April 29, at the Presbyterian
Church in Red Lake Falls. Interment will be held at
the Oak Dale Cemetery in Crookston.
Visitation
will be held one hour prior to services at the
church on Thursday only.
Charlotte
was born August 28, 1916 in Crookston, the daughter
of Bertram and Charolotte (Balfour) VanGordon. She
attended school and graduated from Crookston. On
November 30, 1941 she was united in marriage to O.
Emmet Olson. The couple moved to rural Red Lake
Falls in 1950 where they farmed. Charlotte attended
nursing school in Thief River Falls in the mid
1960s and received an LPN degree. She then worked
at Hillcrest Nursing Home until her retirement in
1976.
She
was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Red Lake
Falls. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, baking
and reading. She loved to visit with
people.
Survivors
include her son Leslie (Bonnie) Olson of Red Lake
Falls; four grandsons; one great-grandson; and many
nieces and nephews.
She
was preceded in death by by her husband O. Emmet
Olson; one son, Gordon Olson; her parents;
brothers, Donald and Earl VanGordon; and sisters,
Vera Buzzelle and Winifred VanSeth.
