Thief
River Falls - Marion Nyflot, 84, died on
Tuesday, June 22, 2004 at Northwest Medical Center
in Thief River Falls.
Funeral
services were held at 11
a.m.
on Saturday, June 26, at Evangelical Covenant
Church in Thief River Falls, with Rev. Merrill
Kindall officiating. Casket bearers included Lonnie
Nyflot, Jeff Nyflot, Dallas Nyflot and Mickey
Nyflot. Interment was held at Riverside Cemetery in
Lake Bronson.
Marion
Althea Lorraine Nyflot was born December 21, 1919
in Red Wing, the daughter of Ole O. and Elizabeth
Marie (Leiter) Nyflot. She was baptized and
confirmed in the Lutheran Faith. She attended
school in Lowry, Glenwood and graduated from
Strandquist High School. She also attended
Teacher's Training in Warren.
She
was a country school teacher for six years in
Marshall County and also worked in various family
businesses as well. She willingly and
uncomplainingly gave her all to become caregiver to
parents and to take care of her nieces and nephews.
Marion
was a member of the Evangelical Covenant Church of
Thief River Falls. She enjoyed reading, gardening
and needlepoint.
Survivors
include her brother, Oscar (LaVerne) Nyflot of
Thief River Falls; one sister, Bonita Nelson of
Seattle, Wash.; nieces and nephews, Mark, Merrie,
Marcia and Mickey Nyflot; Byron, Stuart, Bette and
Danny Nelson; Lonnie, Jeff and Cindy Nyflot and
several great nieces and nephews.
She
was preceded in death by her parents and one
