Nordine, 70
Minneapolis
- Philip Nordine, 70, of Minneapolis and
formerly of Karlstad, died on May 8, 2004 in
Minneapolis.
Memorial
services for Philip Nordine will be held at 2 p.m.
on Saturday, July 10, at the Collins Funeral Chapel
in Karlstad, with Pastor Gary Halverson
officiating. Interment will be held at the Karlstad
Cemetery in Karlstad.
Philip
Manford Nordine, the son of Algot and Florence
(Olstad) Nordine, was born on May 20, 1933 in
Karlstad. He grew up in Karlstad and graduated from
Karlstad High School in 1951. He lived and worked
in Grand Forks and Fargo, N.D., before moving to
Minneapolis, where he worked for Minnetonka
Moccasin for about 40 years. Philip married Mary
Ann Capouch and from this marriage they had three
children.
Survivors
include four children, Kathy (Warren) Williams of
Cleveland, N.D., Rory (Barb) Nordine of Detroit
Lakes, Kristy (David) Maley of Verona, N.D., and
Stephanie (Mike) Hanson of Moorhead; nine
grandchildren; three sisters, Alice Seal of Gibson,
Mo., Geoline (Edsel) Bernstrom of Renville, and
Janice (Jim) Swenson of Greenbush; one brother,
Russell (Kathleen) of Cosmos; and several nieces,
nephews, aunts, uncles and other relatives.
He
was preceded in death by his parents; one brother,
Oliver; and one granddaughter.
