Mich. - Inez V. Nilsen, 82, died Thursday,
February 8, 2001.
Funeral
services were held on Saturday, February 10, at 11
a.m. at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in
Dearborn.
Inez
Scholin was born on January 26, 1919 in Thief River
Falls, the daughter of Carl John and Clara E.
(Anderson) Scholin. She was baptized and confirmed
at Black River Lutheran Church. She attended a
rural elementary school and graduated from North
Star Lutheran High School. In 1942, she moved to
Detroit, Mich.
On
October 13, 1962, Inez was united in marriage to
Arne Nilsen. He died in 1971.
Inez
was an active member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church,
serving in the Mary and Martha group. She was also
active with the Dearborn Senior's Club.
Survivors
include a daughter, Dianne (David) Rankel; three
grandchildren; three brothers, Maurits (Beth) of
Thief River Falls, Gilbert (Boots) and Burton
(Therese); and a sister, Wanda (Lee)
Magee.
Inez
was preceded in death by her husband; her parents;
a sister, Alice; and a brother, Melvin.
