Peoria, Ariz. - Dolores J. Ness, 78, of Peoria Ariz., formerly of Chandler, Ariz. and Thief River Falls, died on Friday, January 30, 2004. obit-ness, Delores

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2004 at First United Methodist Church of Gilbert in Gilbert, Ariz.

Dolores Jean Hart was born June 8, 1925, the daughter of George and Winifred Hart, in Miles City, Mont. She graduated from the University of North Dakota in 1947 and began working for the YWCA in Grand Forks, N.D. She married Charles S. Ness in May of 1948.

In 1961 she received her teaching degree from UND and taught second grade in Grand Forks, N.D. and Thief River Falls until she retired in 1981.

She was very active in the Methodist Church and a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include her son, Roger (Jan) of Thief River Falls; daughters, Sandra (Bob) Clingenpeel of Glendale, Ariz., and Cheryl (Al) Decker of Gilbert, Ariz.; 14 grand children and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Charles; her brother, Roger and one great-grandson.
