Myrtle Nelson, 98

Thief River Falls - Myrtle F. Nelson, 98, died Saturday, February 9, 2002 at the CNC Unit of Northwest Medical Center in Thief River Falls.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Monday, February 11, at Green Funeral Home Chapel in Thief River Falls with Rev. Dan Horn officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery.

Myrtle F. Bugge was born on March 1, 1903 in Numedahl Township of Pennington County, the daughter of John and Alma (Berggren) Bugge. She grew up and attended school in Numedahl Township.

In May of 1930, Myrtle was united in marriage to Edward C. Nelson at Crookston. The couple made their home in Thief River Falls.

Myrtle was a member of the Thief River Falls United Methodist Church and its Esther Circle.

She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, cooking, and especially, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Myrtle is survived by a son, Larry of Thief River Falls; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three sisters, Adeline Watzski of Yakima, Wash., Agnes Dresse of Thief River Falls, and Mae Simons of Seattle, Wash.; and a brother, Rudy Bugge of Thief River Falls.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a sister, Lillian; and three brothers, Adolph, Bill and Earl. A00003B2002FB13
