Donna Naeseth, 58

Goodridge - Donna Naeseth, 58, died Tuesday, October 2, 2001 at her home in rural Goodridge.

Mass of Christian burial was held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 6, at Naeseth obit St. Ann's Catholic Church in Goodridge with Father John Kleinwachter officiating. Audrey Rogalla was the organist, and duets were performed by Paula Olson and Jennifer Mutnansky. Casketbearers were Darwin Eidelbes, Howard Sjulestad, David Sjulestad, Brian Olson, Steve Zavoral and Dennis Kainz. Interment was in was in Moose River Cemetery in Rollis Township of Marshall County. Green Funeral Home of Thief River Falls was in charge of the arrangements.

Donna Mae Johnson was born on May 22, 1943 in Thief River Falls, the daughter of Clarence and Mayme (Zavoral) Johnson. She was baptized on February 27, 1944 at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Thief River Falls and confirmed on June 14, 1955 at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Goodridge. Donna attended school in Goodridge, graduating from Goodridge High School in 1961.

On December 14, 1963, she was united in marriage to Merle Naeseth at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Thief River Falls. The couple lived and raised their family in the Goodridge area, and Donna worked at the Land O'Lakes Turkey Plant and Arctic Cat in Thief River Falls and at the Goodridge School.

She was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church, St. Ann's Ladies Guild, the Parish Council and taught Sunday school for 21 years.

She enjoyed gardening, flowers, canning, baking, ice fishing and especially, spending time with her grandchildren.

Donna is survived by her husband, Merle; two sons, Davie (Denise) Naeseth of Goodridge and Jason Naeseth of Thief River Falls; two daughters, Denise (Dennis) Schulz of Euclid and JoAnn (Ryan) Myhre of Hermantown; six grandchildren; her mother, Mayme Johnson of Goodridge; two brothers, Robert (Kathy) Johnson of Anoka and Jim (Lois) Johnson of Goodridge; a sister, Jean Johnson of Goodridge; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father; grandparents; a sister, Joyce at birth; and two nephews at birth.
