River Falls - MaryAnn Myhrer, 82, died Tuesday,
October 7, 2003 at Northwest Medical Center in
Thief River Falls.
Mass
of Christian Burial was
held
Friday, Oct. 10 at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in
Thief River Falls. Interment was in St. Bernard's
Cemetery in Thief River Falls.
MaryAnn
Mathilda Morben was born November 29, 1920, the
daughter of Obert and Mathilda (Zavoral) Morben.
She was baptized and confirmed at St. Bernard's
Catholic Church in Thief River Falls. She attended
school in Thief River Falls and graduated from
Lincoln High School.
On
June 30, 1939, MaryAnn was united in marriage to
Otto Myhrer in Thief River Falls. The couple lived
their entire lives in Thief River Falls. She worked
at the Thief River Falls S & L Store, which
later became Bostwick's, in the lingerie department
for 35 years.
MaryAnn
was a lifetime member of the VFW Auxiliary, where
she served as president. She enjoyed bowling and
spent many years on the league, bingo at the
Heritage Center, search puzzles, gardening and
playing "Beat The Devil (solitaire)."
Survivors
include her daughters, Bev (Roger J.) Swanson, St.
Hilaire, and Barbara (Jacob) DeHaan, Red Lake
Falls; seven grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren;
a sister, Arlene (Ralph) Hove, Gig Harbor, Wash.; a
brother Tom (Connie) Morben, Lakewood, Colo.; three
sisters-in-law, Ardith Morben, Madison Wis.,
Lorraine Morben, Thief River Falls, and Lucille
Myhrer, Grand Rapids, and a brother-in-law, Kenneth
Kuehn, Colton, and several nieces and
nephews.
MaryAnn
was preceded in death by her husband; parents;
sister, Janet; and brothers, William, Ernest "Bud,"
Bob and Marc.
