Matthew Mutnansky, 15

Goodridge - Matthew John Mutnansky, 15, died on Saturday, November 2, 2002 near Goodridge.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Mutnansky, Matt November 7 at the Goodridge School with Rev. John Kleinwachter officiating. Casketbearers will be the Goodridge-Grygla Blue Devils Football Team and honorary casketbearers will be the Goodridge Sophomore Class. Interment will be held at the Poplar Grove Cemetery in Espelie Township. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, November 6 (today) at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Goodridge with a 7 p.m. prayer service. Visitation will also be held for one hour prior to services at the school on Thursday.

Matthew "Matt" Mutnansky was born on December 19, 1986, the son of Jim and Arletta (Merck) Mutnansky in Thief River Falls. He was baptized at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Goodridge. He grew up and attended school in Goodridge, where he was currently a sophomore. Matt was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church. He was active in football and basketball. His favorite pastime was hunting deer, ducks and geese.

Matt enjoyed telling stories and spending time with his sisters. He also enjoyed working on his father's farm and helping with repairs around his mother's house. Matt was mechanically inclined and enjoyed fixing his sisters' cars.

Survivors include his parents, Arletta Mutnansky of Goodridge and Jim Mutnansky of Goodridge; sisters, Jennifer, Amanda, Melanie, Jessica and Kristen, all of Goodridge; grandparents, Joe and Bev Merck of Bagley and Theresa Mutnansky of Goodridge; and several aunts, uncles, relatives and friends.

Matt was preceded in death by his grandfather, Paul "Papa" Mutnansky and a great uncle.
