Rochester,
N.Y. - G. Paul Mullen, 82, died on Thursday,
May 15, 2003 at Rochester, N.Y.
Funeral
services were held on Monday, May 19 at St.
Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Rochester, N.Y.
G. Paul
Mullen was born on October 2, 1920, the son of
James W. and Florence (Perry) Mullen, in Fordville,
N.D. He attended school in Fordville and in 1930,
the family moved to Thief River Falls. He was
confirmed at St. Bernard's Church. He attended
school in Thief River Falls and graduated from
Lincoln High School in 1938. He entered the United
States Army Air Force and was schooled in
electronics. He served in the 29th Bomb Group and
taught at Yale University in New Haven, Conn., for
the Air Force.
He met
and married Germaine Senecal in New Haven. He was
transferred to Guam and served there until the end
of World War II. He attended school in Kansas City,
where he received his master's degree in TV and
radio electronics and then was employed in New York
state. He worked at the Rochester, N.Y. University
until his retirement.
Survivors
include his wife, Germaine; three children; six
grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters,
Pat (Tony) Dorn of Thief River Falls, and Harriet
Baker of Norco, Calif.; and numerous nieces and
nephews.
He was
preceded in death by his parents and sister, Eunice
