Robert
Mosher, 69

Grygla
- Robert Mosher, 69, died Saturday, May 25,
2002 at his rural Grygla home.
Funeral
services will be held at 2 p.m today (Wednesday,
May 29) at Grace Lutheran Church in Grygla with
Rev. Paul Knutson officiating. Kim Cleven will be
the organist, and the soloist will be Jodi Schultz.
Casketbearers will be Tim Bernstein, Randy Burrell,
Brian Freeberg, Brent Anderson, Mitch Bernstein,
and Tony Mosher. Honorary casketbearers will
include Lawrence Neuschwander, Floyd Neuschwander,
Doug Torgerson, Ronnie Byklum, Ray Sorenson, and
Ole Nesland. Interment will be in St. Olaf Cemetery
in Valley Township of Marshall County.
Visitation
was held from 4 to 8 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer
service on Tuesday, May 28, at Green Funeral Home
in Thief River Falls. Visitation will also be held
for one hour prior to services at the
church.
Robert
Mosher was born on January 15, 1933 at Crookston,
the son of Elmer and Erma (Chapman) Mosher. He grew
up near Crookston where he attended country schools
and the Northwest School of Agriculture.
On June
11, 1953, Robert was united in marriage to Frances
King at Goodridge. In 1955, Robert was baptized in
Binford, N.D. He worked on farms in Montana and
North Dakota until 1959 when the couple moved to
Minnesota where Robert dairy farmed until 1992. He
continued to raise beef cattle up until the time of
his death.
He was a
member of Grace Lutheran Church and served on the
creamery and REA boards.
Robert
enjoyed auction sales, horses, farming, and
especially, being with family.
Surviving
him are his wife, Frances of Grygla; four
daughters, Sandra (Tim) Bernstein of Grygla, Susan
(Randy) Burrell of Middle River, Teresa (Brian)
Freeberg of Bemidji, and Stacy (Brent) Anderson of
Goodridge; four sons, Richard (Arlene), Rick
(special friend Jennifer Wilkins), and Ryan Mosher,
all of Grygla, and Rodney (Vicky) of East
Hazelcrest, Ill.; 12 grandchildren; three
great-grandchildren; four sisters, Pat Lloyland of
Alexandria, Jean (Gene) Schmitz in Alaska, Jane
Micklich of Virginia, and Judy Cooper of Spokane,
Wash.; and two brothers, Lloyd (Jean) of Goodridge
and Ben (Doris) Mosher of Tower.
Preceding
Robert in death were his parents; a brother, Bill;
two nieces; and two nephews.
