Jeanette Monda, 86

Grand Forks, N.D. - Jeanette G. Monda, 86, died Tuesday, April 3, 2001 at Valley Memorial Homes Eldercare Center in Grand Forks, N.D.

Services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 7, at Faith Evangelical Free Church in Grand Forks. Amundson Funeral Home of Grand Forks was in charge of the arrangements.

Jeanette G. Wang was born March 19, 1915 in Grand Forks, N.D., the daughter of Herman and Tillie (Skomedal) Wang. She was raised and educated in Grand Forks and graduated from Central High School. She trained as a seamstress under Evelyn Davis in Grand Forks and worked as a professional seamstress specializing in the design and creation of wedding dresses.

She married J. Arthur Monda on October 16, 1941 in East Grand Forks. He died February 1, 1994.

Jeanette is survived by three daughters, Bobbi (Steve) Hansen and Ilene (Jay) Anderson, both of Grand Forks, and Illa (Steve) Anderson of Paradise Valley, Ariz.; three sons, Don (Merrily) Monda of Brainerd, Tim Monda of Plano, Texas and Tom (Jan) Monda of Fargo, N.D.; 15 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Katie (Joe) Asche of North Platte, Neb. and Cora Scefter of Grand Forks.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and an infant daughter. A00003B2000AP11
