Red
Lake Falls - Luella Mohr, 77, died Thursday,
July 29, 2004 at Hillcrest Nursing Home, Red Lake
Falls.
A funeral
service was held Saturday, July 31, 2004, at
Johnson Funeral Service, Red Lake Falls, with
Father Tim Bushy presiding. Interment was at St.
Henry's Cemetery, Perham. Casket bearers were
Vernon Lehman, Ricky Lehman, Ronnie Lehman, Randy
Lehman, Jeff Koral and Tom Koral.
Luella
Catherine Sazama was born May 3, 1927 in St. Paul,
the daughter of Matt and Lenora (Przybylski)
Sazama. The family lived in the Perham and
Richville area, where Luella was raised and
attended school. She worked on the family farm
until her marriage to James A. Mohr, Sept. 9, 1947,
which took place in Perham.
She
worked as bookkeeper for the elevators that Jim
managed throughout Minnesota and Montana. The
couple settled in Red Lake Falls in 1964. In June
of 1975, they moved to Forsyth, Mont. Jim died
April 29, 1979 and Luella moved to Indiana in 1979
to live with her daughters. She moved to Red Lake
Falls in 1985 where she has since resided.
Luella
was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and
Guild of Red Lake Falls. She enjoyed sewing and
quilting, but especially loved spending time on the
farm.
She is
survived by her son, Michael (Marjorie) Mohr, Red
Lake Falls; daughters, Kathy Duffy and Debbie
Kieckbusch, of Red Lake Falls; four grandchildren;
a great grandson; two sisters, Georgie Lehman,
Perham, and Estella Koral, Hutchinson; and many
nieces and nephews.
She was
preceded in death by husband, parents and an infant
