Thief
River Falls - Clara Mickelson, 95, died on
Friday, October 24, 2003 at Oakland Park Nursing
Home in Thief River Falls.
Funeral
services will be at 2:00
p.m.
on Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2003 (today) at Immanuel
Lutheran Church in Plummer, MN with Reverend Frank
Ehling and Reverend Henry Moyer officiating. Casket
bearers include:Curtis Larson, Chris Larson, Shane
Larson, Paul Erickson, Paul Baumgartner and Roy
Quick. Interment will be in Emardville Cemetery,
rural Plummer. Visitation will be at the church for
one hour prior to services today.
Clara
Emelia Craft was born on December 12, 1907 in
Gervais Township, Red Lake County, to Erick and
Kristina Craft. She was baptized and confirmed into
the Lutheran faith and attended Country School.
Clara
was united in marriage to Sivert Mickelson on March
11, 1934 in Oklee. The couple made their home and
raised their family near Plummer. Clara loved being
a homemaker and mother. In the late 1970's they
moved to rural Thief River Falls, where they lived
on the same farm as their daughter. In 1985 they to
Thief River Falls. She enjoyed embroidering, and
especially loved spending time with her
grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Clara
is survived by two children: Gloria (Lester) Larson
and Clarus "June" (Donald) Lokken of Thief River
Falls; five grandchildren; nine great
grandchildren; one sister, Nora Seibel of Big Fork;
and several nieces and nephews.
She
was preceded in death by her husband, Sivert in
1985; one granddaughter; her parents; brothers and
sisters: Ernest, Harry, Archie, George, Oscar,
Gust, and Clarence Craft, Myrtle Patnode, Lily
Christopherson, Mabel VanDuesen.
