Milton McCauley, 69

Littlefork - Milton McCauley, 69, formerly of Newfolden, died on Friday, September 20, 2002 at his home in Littlefork.

Funeral Mass was held on Saturday, September 28 at St. Columban Catholic Church in Littlefork. Interment was in Littlefork Cemetery.

Milton McCauley was born on January 12, 1933 in Sioux Falls, S.D. He served in the United States Army from 1948 to 1950. He was in Japan when the Korean Conflict began and was among the first troops to enter the conflict. He was wounded and received the Purple Heart.

On June 15, 1954, Milton was united in marriage to Mavis Vaske. In 1958, he received a bachelor of science degree from Northern State University. He was employed as a teacher in Colton, S.D. as was principal in Boyd, Newfolden, Wheaton, Littlefork and Indus. He was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and a member of St. Columban Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mavis of Littlefork; four sons, Tom, Tim, Paul and Rich (Melissa); two daughters, Beth (Darren) Quaas and Meg (Cory) Sarrella; and four granchildren.

Milton was preceded in death by a son, Michael. A00003B2002OT09
