Clifford Martinson, 92

Badger - Clifford Martinson, 92, died on Wednesday, January 21, 2004 at Greenbush Nursing Home in Greenbush.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Jan. 27, at Gieseke Funeral Chapel in Greenbush, with Pastor LeRoy Flickinger officiating. Interment was held at Badger Creek Cemetery in Badger.

Clifford Delbert Martinson, the son of Simon and Martha (Dahl) Martinson, was born June 18, 1911 in Ross Township in Roseau County, north of Badger. He grew up on the family farm and attended country school. With the exception of working at the Standard Oil Garage in Badger and logging in the Baudette area, he continued to operate the family farm his whole life. Clifford was always a mainstay of his family.

Survivors include his sisters, Olga Grythe of Badger and Julia Spangrud of Mound; and a brother Bennie (Loretta) of Biwabik.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Selma Blaske, Myrtle Naumann, Alma Dahl and Martha Sluka; and one brother, Martin. A00003B2004JA28
