Frederick C. Mantei, 78 Spokane, Wash. - Frederick C. Mantei, 78, died on May 15, 2004 in Newport, Wash. A memorial service was held on Thursday, May 20 at Riplinger Funeral Home in Spokane, Wash. Frederick C. Mantei was born on September 24, 1925 in Fortuna, N.D. He was a member of the V.F.W., Eagles Lodge and Gentleman on Horseback Club. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Betty; daughters, Gloria Jean Mantei of Kirkland, Wash. Sandra Kay Bruggeman of Issaquah, Wash. and Lois Rochelle Mantei of Sea Tac, Wash.; one grandson; six granddaughters; three great-granddaughters; two great-grandsons; two brothers; three sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews.
