Marilyn Madsen, 66

Warren - Marilyn Madsen, 66, died Saturday, August 4, 2001 at the SCCI Hospital in Fargo, N.D.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 9, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Warren. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Visitation will be held after 6:30 p.m. with a 7:30 p.m. prayer service today (Wednesday, August 8) at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Visitation will also be held for one hour prior to Thursday's service. Quanrud-DuBore Funeral Home of Warren is in charge of the arrangements.

Marilyn Marie Madsen was born on November 7, 1934 in Tolley, N.D., the daughter of Victor and Frances (Henricks) Madsen. As a young girl, she moved with her family to Lankin, N.D. where she graduated from Lankin High School as valedictorian. In the early 1950s, she moved to Warren where she worked at Kroll Drug, Thompson Grocery and Red Owl. For many years, Marilyn worked as the parish housekeeper for Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and for the last several years had managed P & P Apartments.

She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, was the director of the Warren Food Shelf for many years, belonged to a caregivers support group and volunteered for many other community causes.

She enjoyed visiting with people and traveling, taking many interesting trips.

Marilyn is survived by two sisters, Mary (Dennis J.) Garry of Euclid and Marla King of Buellton, Calif., and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant sister and a nephew. A00003B2001AU08
