Candace Madden, 44

Northglenn, Colo. - Candace Lee Madden, 44, died Saturday, January 19, 2002 at here home in Northglenn, Colo.

Funeral services were held at Madden obit 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 29, at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls with Rev. Terry Olson officiating. Wanda Vigness was the organist, and the soloist was Jan Nyflot. Casketbearers were Terry Wells, Brian Wells, Brent Wells, Mark Jenkins, Kevin Jenkins and Terry A. Wells. Honorary casketbearers included all of Candace's family and friends. Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery in Thief River Falls with Green Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Candace Lee Wells was born on May 18, 1957 in Thief River Falls, the daughter of Bernard Marshall and Virginia "Virgie" Faye (Hutchinson) Wells. She was baptized and confirmed at Reiner Lutheran Church and attended Goodridge School, graduating in 1975. She attended Northland Technical College in Thief River Falls for a short time. Candi was employed at Northern State Bank and then Union State Bank in Thief River Falls.

On October 29, 1988, she was united in marriage to Kent Madden in Denver, Colo. While living in Denver, Candace cared for an aunt and did some waitress work.

She enjoyed camping and gardening. Candi also enjoyed her pets, both cats and dogs, especially her dog, "Brit."

Survivors include her husband, Kent; her parents of Goodridge; a sister, Kathi (Mark) Jenkins of Thief River Falls; three brothers, Terry (Dawn) Wells of Grygla, Brian (Candy) Wells of Goodridge and Brent (Theresa) Wells of Eau Claire, Wisc.; nine nieces and nephews; three great-nieces; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Candace was preceded in death by her grandparents and a niece. A00003B2002JA30
