Saturday, August 2, 2003 in Thief River
Falls.
Funeral
services were held on Tuesday, August 5 at Our
Saviour's
Lutheran
Church in Thief River Falls with the Rev. Wesley
Langaas officiating. Honorary casketbearers were
Jeff Antes, Wavell Erickson, Edward Olson, Marwood
Hunstad, Bob Michael, Virgil Mercil and Darrin
Anderson. Interment was in the Holt Cemetery in
Holt.
Dianna
Lynn Nelson was born in Thief River Falls on July
25, 1945, the daughter of Ernest M. and Nadine
(Lundquist) Nelson. She grew up and attended school
in Newfolden, graduating from Marshall County
Central High School in 1962. She attended Northland
Community and Technical College in Thief River
Falls.
On
September 5, 1964, she was united in marriage to
Sherman Stanley Lysne. Shortly after their
marriage, they made their home in Newfolden and
then in Washington for a couple of years. Dianna
returned to Thief River Falls, where she has since
resided. She enjoyed playing bingo, stamping,
reading and shopping. Her grandchildren were of the
utmost importance to her. Over the past couple of
years, she traveled and stayed with her
grandchildren for extended periods of time. She
also enjoyed playing cards with her parents and
loved her dog, Bailey.
Survivors
include three children, Stacey (Jeffrey) Antes of
Rochester, Kristin Bossman of Warren and Jamey
(Kelly) of Nekoosa, Wisc.; seven grandchildren; her
parents, Ernest and Nadine Nelson; and one sister,
Bonnie (Edward) Olson of Northfield.
Dianna
was preceded in death by her grandparents and a
son-in-law, Christofer Bossman.
