Gertrude
Lundeen, 87
Grafton,
N.D. - Gertrude Lundeen, 87, formerly of Grand
Forks, N.D., died Monday, April 30, 2001 at
Lutheran Sunset Home in Grafton, N.D.
Funeral
services were held at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 4, at
Grafton Lutheran Church in Grafton. Interment was
in Grafton Lutheran Cemetery with Tollefson Funeral
Home of Grafton in charge of the
arrangements.
Gertrude
Swanson was born on June 18, 1913 in Grafton, N.D.,
the daughter of Gust and Gustava (Mattson) Swanson.
She attended a rural school near
Grafton.
On
January 21, 1933, she married Thomas Landowski. The
couple lived in Grafton until 1950 when they moved
to Thief River Falls where they farmed until
Thomas's death in June of 1969.
On
August 22, 1970, Gertrude married Walter Lundeen at
Oakley. They made their home in Grand Forks, N.D.
After Walter's death, Gertrude remained in Grand
Forks until 1995 when she moved to Lutheran Sunset
Home in Grafton, N.D.
She
was a member of Grafton Lutheran Church.
Gertrude
is survived by two sons, Ross (Cecelia) Landowski
of Drayton, N.D. and Thomas Garald (Judy) Landowski
of Anoka; a stepdaughter, Shirley (George) Herber
of Minneapolis; two stepsons, Wilmer Lundeen of
Idaho and Larry Lundeen of Denver, Colo.; and a
sister, LaVerne Wagner of Grafton, N.D.
She
was preceded in death by her parents, three
brothers and three sisters.
