Ingeborg
Loven, 89
Thief
River Falls - Ingeborg Loven, 89, died on
Friday, May 16, 2003 at Oakland Park Nursing Home
in Thief River Falls.
Funeral
services were held on Monday, May 19 at
Johnson-Green Funeral Home in Thief River Falls
with the Rev. Sandra Hollands officiating. Ida
Nordvall was the organist and Chris Cuppett was the
soloist. Casketbearers were all of Ingeborg's
grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Interment
was in Moose River Cemetery in Gatzke.
Ingeborg
Ostby was born on April 5, 1914, the daughter of
Pedar and Berit (Sakrismo) Ostby, in Gatzke. She
was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith
and attended school in Gatzke and Middle
River.
Ingeborg
was united in marriage to John Loven in Gatzke. The
couple made their home on a farm near Gatzke and
they also owned and operated Gatzke Grocery for
several years. She enjoyed sewing and cooking.
Ingeborg was a member of the United Lutheran Church
in Gatzke and was active in the Woman's Group at
the church.
Survivors
include one son, Duane (Arleen) Loven of Grand
Forks, N.D.; two grandchildren; five
great-grandchildren; and four sisters.
Ingeborg
was preceded in death by one son, Roger; her
husband, John; her parents; and one
brother.
