Harold Linblom, 84

Felton &endash; Harold Lindblom, 84, Island Estates, Clearwater Beach, Fla., and Felton, Minn., passed away Thursday, Jan. 23, 2003 at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, Fla.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 30, 2003 at Hope Lutheran Church, North Campus, Fargo, N.D. Visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Moorhead.

Harold was born Feb. 20, 1918 in Bray Township, Pennington County, the son of John Henry and Agnes Leni (Swapp) Lindblom. He was baptized and confirmed in Black River Lutheran Church, Pennington County. Harold began farming at an early age.

Harold was united in marriage to Elna Scholin on June 6, 1942 in Bray Township. They made their home in Thief River Falls until 1944, when they moved to the Felton area and Harold continued farming. Harold and Elna began spending winters in Clearwater in 1960.

He was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Fargo, and an associate member of St. Paul's Lutheran in Clearwater. He was a past member of many organizations, including the Island Estates Civic Association, The Sertoma Club, Island Estates Yacht Club, The Chi Chi Rodriquez Golf Club, The Moorhead Country Club, The Felton Community Club, The Hawley Golf Club, The Fargo Elks, and The C-400 Club. Harold received many awards, including the Hall of Fame Award for religious Christmas displays through the Island Estates Civic Association.

Harold is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Elna; their two daughters and their children, Genora (Arne) Schjeldrup, and Cale and Amy; and Donna (Don) Kucharz and Jenna and Brian, all of Felton; a son-in-law, Jim Daugherty, Calif.; and three sisters, Mable Mosbeck, Thief River Falls, Ellen (Stan) Read, Puyallup, Wash., and Janeth "Dolly" (Art) Armstrong, Lander, Wyo.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Denise Daugherty, and four brothers, George, Johnny, Russell Rux, and Ralph Rux.
