Sabin
- Joyce Liedberg, 47, died Thursday, May 3,
2001 at Dakota Heartland Hospital in Fargo,
N.D.
Funeral
services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 7, at
Trinity Lutheran Church in Sabin. Interment was in
Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery in Sabin with
Wright Funeral Home of Moorhead in charge of the
arrangements.
Joyce
C. Sourdif was born on August 1, 1953 in Thief
River falls, the daughter of Raymond and Loretta
(Lien) Sourdif. She attended school in Newfolden
and graduated from Newfolden High School in
1971.
On
December 18, 1971, she married Allen K. Liedberg.
After moving to Fargo, N.D., Joyce worked for
Norwest Bank for two years. After the birth of her
children, she stayed at home until they started
school. She then began her 18-year career at
Eventide Lutheran Nursing Home. In December of
1997, she became involved in the family business,
Precision Routing, Inc.
Joyce
was active in her church, volunteered for the Sabin
rescue squad, spent the summers playing softball
and later coached youth teams in Sabin.
She
enjoyed fishing with her family, spending time in
her garden and flower beds, having "baby talks"
with her grandson, Connor, and especially going for
rides with her husband on her
motorcycle.
Joyce
is survived by her husband, Allen K. Liedberg; two
sons, Jesse K. (Heather) Liedberg and Jason
Liedberg of Moorhead; a daughter, Jolene C.
Liedberg of Dilworth; a grandson; her mother,
Loretta Sourdif of Thief River Falls; four
brothers, Larry (Liz) Sourdif of St. Hilaire,
Gordon (Rosalyn) Sourdif of Fergus Falls, Donald
(Heidi) Sourdif of Roseau and Wayne (Susan) Sourdif
of Ada; three sisters, Pat (Richard) Moen of
Newfolden, Sandra (John) Lubitz of Thief River
Falls and Susan (James) Bevel of Theodore, Ala.
