Wayne Lenhart, 60

Thief River Falls - Wayne Lenhart, 60, died Monday, May 21, 2001 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, N.D.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 25, at Green Funeral Home in Thief River Falls with Father Tim Noah officiating. Ida Nordvall was the organist, and the soloist was Vanessa Anderson. Casketbearers were Melvin Steinberg, Richard Kuzel, Jeremy Ray, Shawn Lease, Mark Paulson and Donald Grabanski. Interment was in North Big Wood Cemetery in Big Woods township of Marshall county.

Wayne R. Lenhart was born on February 19, 1941 in Comstock township of Marshall county, the son of Gardy and Verna (Pojrier) Lenhart. He attended school in Radium.

On July 1, 1970, Wayne was united in marriage to Inez Aasand in Argyle. He was employed at Arctic Enterprises for many years, working with motors and clutches.

Wayne was a member of Prairie Schooners and entered his 1950 Plymouth and 1946 Chevy in numerous car shows.

He enjoyed restoring cars, taking care of his home and visiting with friends.

Wayne is survived by his wife, Inez; two sons, Jon (Becky) Lenhart of Lancaster and Jene Lenhart of Thief River Falls; three brothers, Lloyd (Violet) Lenhart and Donald (Bernice) Lenhart, both of Thief River Falls, and Marvin Lenhart of Mullens, N.C.; five sisters, Fern Nelson, Arlyne Soiney and Patzy Elliot, all of Thief River Falls, Luverne Knutson of Warren and Betty (Donald) Ballard of Fulton, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Dennis Lenhart; and a sister, Faye Lenhart.
