Calif. - Helen Larson, 82, died Monday,
September 3, 2001.
Services
were held Saturday, September 15, at 2 p.m. at
Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Encinitas, Calif.
Helen
Peterson was born on January 2, 1919 in Lakota,
N.D. On May 7, 1940, she married Stanley Larson,
and the couple moved to Thief River Falls where
they owned and operated Poppler's Furniture and
raised their daughters. In addition to being the
office manager at Poppler's, Helen worked as a
secretary at Lincoln High School and then Franklin
Middle School from 1960 to 1975 when she and Stan
retired to Encinitas, Calif. Stan died in
1991.
Survivors
include two daughters, Karin Hill and Judy (John)
Cates, and two grandchildren.
