- Carolyn Larson, 72, died on Sunday, March 28,
2004 at Northwest Medical Center in Thief River
Falls.
Mass
of Christian Burial will be
held
at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 1, at St. Bernard's
Catholic Church in Thief River Falls, with Father
Tim McGee and Deacon John Eisbrener officiating.
Casket bearers include grandsons, Brian Timm, Shane
Timm, Anthony Hendricks, Arron Hendricks, Matthew
Larson and Kory Engelstad. Honor guard to be
present includes the Middle River American Legion
Auxiliary. Interment will follow at the St.
Bernard's Cemetery in Thief River Falls.
Visitation
will be from 4 - 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 31 at
the Johnson Green Funeral Home in Thief River
Falls, with a Prayer Service at 7 p.m., and one at
church for one hour prior to the services on
Thursday.
Carolyn
Teresa Mutnansky was born on February 28, 1932 in
Thief River Falls to Matthew and Agnes (Karabin)
Mutnansky. She grew up on a farm near Goodridge. In
1950 she graduated from Goodridge High School.
Carolyn
was united in marriage to Lester Ellsworth Larson
on June 10, 1950 in Goodridge, at St. Ann's
Catholic Church by Father Timothy Noah. The couple
moved to Thief River Falls for a short time, then
in 1954, Carolyn and Lester bought a farm in Viking
Township, where she raised her family. She worked
at the Land O Lakes/Northern Pride turkey plant
from 1967 to 1993 when she retired. In October of
1999 she moved to the CNC unit at the Northwest
Medical Center.
Carolyn
enjoyed playing cards, dancing, fishing trips to
Washkish and watching soap operas. She was a member
of the American Legion Auxiliary in Middle River.
Carolyn
is survived by six children, Renae (Ronald) Timm of
Newfolden, Wayne Larson of Viking, Vincent (Suzan)
Larson of Viking, Eugene Larson of Viking, Cheryl
(Murray) Engelstad of Thief River Falls and Dorene
(Dwayne) Myers of Viking; 16 grandchildren; seven
great-grandchildren; one sister, Elsie (Lloyd)
Lubinski of St. Paul; four sisters-in-law, Theresa
Mutnansky, Gladys Erickson, Laura (Roy) Roppe,
Harriet Kujava, and many other relatives and
friends.
She
was preceded in death by her husband Lester in
1996; her parents; two sons, Keith and Dwight; four
brothers, Tom Mayernik, Paul, Jerome and Vincent
Mutnansky; and one sister Ruth Koci.
