Phyliss Larson-Hammon, 68

Gig Harbor, Wash. - Phyliss Larson-Hammon, 68, died on Wednesday, September 17, 2003.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, October 2 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Thief River Falls.

Phyliss Johnson was born on February 24, 1935 in Badger, the daughter of Claude and Irene Johnson. The family moved to Thief River Falls in 1939.

On October 28, 1950, Phyliss was united in marriage to Robert L. Larson. Robert died in 1986. Phyliss moved to Washington in 1986 and to Lake Holiday, Wash., in 1989. On October 26, 1991, she married James Hammon. Phyliss loved baking, cooking, canning, gardening, camping and the outdoors.

Survivors include her husband, James; three brothers, Keith, John and Andy; four daughters, Sue (Mark) Mattson, Bobbi Oen, Pat (Rod) Heschke and Cindy (Don) Ray; three step-children, Darin Hammon, James Hammon, Jr., and Rebecca Hammon; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Phyliss was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Larson; a daughter, Ellen; a brother, Cyril; and a grandson.
