Helen Lange, 85

Red Lake Falls - Helen Lange, 85, died Monday, April 16, 2001 at Pioneer Memorial Care Center in Erskine.

No services are planned. Johnson Funeral Service of Red Lake Falls was in charge of arrangements.

Helen Elizabeth Kiesow was born on October 29, 1915 at Pipestone, the daughter of Shelby and Mamie (Harrison) Kiesow. She was raised and educated in Pipestone.

On December 1, 1939, Helen was united in marriage to Ernest Lange Jr. at Pipestone. The couple lived in Fulda; Canistota, S.D.; Fertile; and Hillsboro, N.D. For four years, Helen lived at Sunview housing in Red Lake Falls. Ernest died in 1972.

Helen was active at the Sunview Center and Presbyterian Church and delivered Meals on Wheels.

She enjoyed needle craft and playing cards.

Survivors include a son, Eugene Lange of Circle Pines; two daughters, Shirley Hogenson of Fertile and Brenda Lange of Avondale, Ariz.; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three brothers, Kenneth Kiesow, Leslie Kiesow and Roger Kiesow; and a sister, Mary Jean Popp.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, husband, an infant son, two sisters and two brothers.
