- Gary Kurr, 58, died on Thursday, July 3, 2003
at Northwest Medical Center in Thief River
Falls.
Funeral
services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July
9 (today)
at
St. Augustine's Catholic Church in St. Cloud.
Interment will be in Assumption Cemetery in St.
Cloud. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m to 2
p.m. on Wednesday at the church.
Gary
Kurr was born in St. Cloud on January 24, 1945, the
son of Edward and Mary (Visneski) Kurr.
On
September 25, 1965, he married Phyllis Molitor. He
worked for Plywood Minnesota, Texgas, and was the
owner of Kurr's Korner in Meire Grove from 1975 to
1979.
On
April 30, 1994, he married Sandy Potvin in St.
Augustine's Catholic Church. He owned JJ's Bar in
Annandale from 1979 until he retired in 2000. After
his retirement, he and Sandy moved to
Grygla.
Survivors
include his wife, Sandy of Grygla; three sons, Dale
(Monica) Kurr of Inver Grove Heights, Ryan Kurr of
Annandale, and Scott Kurr of Annandale; two
step-children, Kari Potvin (finceé Todd
Nelson) of Big Lake and Kurt (Sascha) Potvin of
Buffalo; four grandchildren; brothers, Edward
(Evie) Kurr of Eden Prairie and Daniel (Gail) Kurr
of Layton, Utah.
Gary
was preceded in death by his parents and his
step-father, David Golembeck.
