- Raymond Kostrzewski, 78, died on Thursday,
May 22, 2003 at McIntosh Manor Nursing Home in
McIntosh.
Funeral
services were held on Tuesday, May 27 at Assumption
Catholic Church in Florian with the Rev. Vincent
Miller and Deacon Courtney Abel officiating. Abi
Kuznia was the organist. Casketbearers were Kenny
Kostrzewski, Brandon Kostrzewski, Randy
Kostrzewski, Peter Kostrzewski, Walter Kostrzewski
and Larry Kostrzewski. Honorary casketbearers were
all those who attended the service. Interment was
in Assumption Catholic Cemetery in
Florian.
Raymond
Timothy Kostrzewski was born on March 28, 1925, the
son of Martin and Rose (Kuplinski) Kostrzewski, in
Florian. He attended school and grew up there, and
was baptized and confirmed at Assumption Catholic
Church in Florian.
On
December 19, 1962, he married Theresa Grembowski in
Greenbush. The couple farmed in Wanger Township of
Marshall County. Raymond was also employed in road
construction work for many years. He was a
life-long member of Assumption Catholic Church. For
the past three years, Raymond has resided at the
McItosh Manor Nursing Home.
Survivors
include one daughter, Irene Johnson of Karlstad;
two granddaughters; three brothers, Edward (Inez),
and Edmund (Evelyn), both of Strandquist, and
Stanley (Angeline) of Argyle; one sister, Gertrude
Jorgenson of Argyle; and several nieces, nephews
and other relatives.
Raymond
was preceded in death by his parents; his wife;
three brothers, Walter, Steve and Pete; and one
