Fred Knutson, 79

Fisher - Fred Knutson, 79, died Thursday, June 20, at Riverview Hospital in Crookston.

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 22, at 11 a.m. at Stenshoel-Houske Funeral Home in Crookston. Interment was in Oakdale Cemetery in Crookston.

Fred Clifford T. Knutson was born on February 22, 1923 at Saum, the son of Theodore and Carrie (Nielsen) Knutson. He grew up in Middle River and moved with his family to Crookston in the 1930s. Fred worked in construction and as a farm laborer for many years.

He enjoyed spending time outdoors either fishing or hunting, playing the guitar, and painting, especially wildlife.

Fred is survived by three sisters, Alice Lattman of Fergus Falls, Gladys Holmstrom of Thief River Falls, and Mildred Dahl of Crookston; a sister-in-law; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Preceding him in death were his parents; three brothers, Elling, Guy, and Art Knutson; and a sister, Grace Quamme. A00003B2002JU26
