Ruth Klove, 76

Detroit Lakes - Ruth A. Klove, 76, died Friday, June 8, 2001 at Emmanuel Nursing Home in Detroit Lakes.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 12, at First Lutheran Church in Detroit Lakes. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery in Detroit Lakes with David-Donehower Funeral Home of Detroit Lakes in charge of the arrangements.

Ruth Agnes Stucy was born on November 16, 1924 at River Valley, the daughter of Otto and Agnes (Costello) Stucy. She grew up in Pennington county, attended a country school and graduated from the Northwest School of Agriculture in Crookston in 1942.

On May 27, 1942, she was united in marriage to Roy E. Klove near Oklee where the couple farmed until 1952. They moved to Hibbing and later to Aurora. Ruth worked at a hospital and nursing home in Hibbing. In 1981, the couple moved to Detroit Lakes. Roy died in 1999.

Ruth was a member of First Lutheran Church in Detroit Lakes and was a past member of Detroit Lakes Sons of Norway.

Survivors include two granddaughters and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two daughters, Avis Klove and Renee Penttinen; five brothers; and two sisters. A00003B2001JN13
