Barbara Klitzke, 61

Oklee - Barbara Klitzke, 61, died Thursday, September 6, 2001 at First Care Hospital in Fosston.

Graveside services were held on Sunday, September 9, at 2 p.m. at Klitzke obit Fairview Ceme-tery in Remer with Rev. Dennis Whitter officiating. Johnson Funeral Service of Oklee was in charge of the arrangements.

Barbara Mar-jorie Frank was born on December 12, 1939 on the family farm in Slater township of Cass county, the daughter of Walter Albert and Marjorie Maxine (Mix) Frank. She attended school in Remer.

On December 10, 1957, Marjorie was united in marriage to Marvin Everett Mugaas in South Dakota. The couple traveled extensively with Marvin's work, eventually settling in Gatzke where they raised four children. In 1979, they moved to Grygla. The couple divorced in 1981, and in 1983, Barb bought a restaurant in Stephen, naming it Barb's Cafe and operating it until 1986.

On October 30, 1987, she was united in marriage to Willard Frank Klitzke at Swift Falls. Prior to her marriage, Barb was baptized into the Lutheran faith at Swift Falls. The couple lived at Ponsford and Bagley and moved to Brooks in 1996. For a short time, they operated a restaurant in DeGraff.

Barb enjoyed animals, especially her dogs, Buddy and Tippy, and she was proud of the fawn she raised during the summer of 2000. She also enjoyed embroidery, bead work, quilting, cooking and carrying pictures of family members and friends.

Survivors include two daughters, Katherine (Gary) Bullock of Remer and Denise (special friend Gary White) Thomas of Grygla; two sons, Bruce Mugaas of Gatzke and David (Sandy) Mugaas of Red Lake Falls; 15 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; her mother, Marjorie Frank of Remer; four siblings, Francis Hawk and Alfred "Butch" Frank, both of Coon Rapids and Marvin Frank and Susan Weyer, both of Remer; special friend, Willard Klitzke of Brooks; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Barbara was preceded in death by her father and the father of her children, Marvin Mugaas on July 7, 1997. A00003B2001SP12
