Agda Klinke, 81

Thief River Falls - Agda Klinke, 81, died on Wednesday, January 8, 2003 at Northwest Medical Center in Thief River Falls.

Funeral services were held on Klinke, Agda Saturday, January 11 at the Faith Lutheran Brethren Church in Thief River Falls with Rev. George Davis officiating. Leanore Johnsen was the organist and special music was provided by the Trochman Family. Rachel Olson was the soloist and the eulogy was presented by Ricky Boutain Jr. Casketbearers were Agda's grandsons, Tim Olson, Erick Olson, Ricky Boutain, Jesse Boutain, Chad Green, Chris Green and Brian Green. Honorary casketbearers were Agda's grandchildren, great-grandchilren and great great-grandchildren. Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery in Thief River Falls.

Agda Margaret Nelson was born on January 6, 1922, the daughter of Emil and Nora (Ness) Nelson in Clearbrook. In 1928, she moved to Fosston with her parents, where she attended school.

On April 15, 1939, Agda was united in marriage to Alan Wesley Klinke. The couple lived in Lengby. In 1959, they moved to Fairbanks, Alaska, and later moved to Renton and Kent, Wash. Agda worked as a charge nurse in nursing homes in Colfax and Spokane, Wash. In 1969, she moved back to Minnesota. In 1971, they moved to Thief River Falls and she worked at Oakland Park Nursing Home for several years. She also worked at Arctic Enterprises for ten years, at Grafton State School, for Pennington County and for Tri Valley of Crookston. She enjoyed gardening, reading, her bird, Tweetie, and spending time with her family.

Survivors include four daughters, Ranae Green of Thief River Falls, Cheryl (Ricky) Boutain of Fargo, N.D., Dawn Olson of Thief River Falls and Lorna (Charles) Snailum of Battleground, Wash.; four sons, Ronald (Janet) of Fosston, Ross (Anita) of Fosston, Loren (Sue) of Steptoe, Wash. and Richard (Delorus) of Wrangell, Alaska; 33 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and three great great-grandchildren.

Agda was preceded in death by a son, Donald Leroy Klinke; her husband, Allan; two brothers, Selmer and Edwin Nelson; her parents; a granddaughter; and a grandson.
