Wash. - Walter F. Kiesow, 86, of Enumclaw,
Wash. died on December 28, 2003 at Enumclaw
Community Hospital.
Funeral
services were held on Wednesday, Dec. 31, at Weeks'
Enumclaw Funeral Home, with Rev. Don Kimberg
officiating. Interment was held at Mt. View
Cemetery in Auburn, Wash.
Walter
F. Kiesow was born on December 12, 1917, in Bertha,
Minn. and moved as a child to Longview, Wash. He
returned to Minnesota at 17-years-old and farmed
the Kiesow family homestad for 42 years. He
remained unmarried until the age of 59, when he
married his childhood friend Adah Wilson. Adah
brought to the marriage four children, who with
their children and grandchildren became his family.
Adah and Walter's beautiful love story lasted 19
years until Adah's death in 1997. Walter resided
with his daughter and family, Victoria Roy of
Enumclaw until his death.
Survivors
include a stepson Jerry L. Wilson of Butte, Mont.;
step daughters, Carol L. Downs, Linda S. Bell
(Murray), and Victoria R. Roy (Scott), all of
Enumclaw, Wash.; two brothers, Curtis Wiese of
Lebanon, Ore. and John Janes of San Diego, Calif.;
22 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; one
great-great-granddaughter; and several nieces and
nephews.
He
was preceded in death by his wife Adah.
