Inga
Kezar, 86
Viking
- Inga Kezar, 86, died on Wednesday, July 16,
2003 at the CNC Unit of Northwest Medical Center in
Thief River Falls.
Funeral
services were held on Saturday, July 19 at Zion
Lutheran Church in Viking with the Rev. Luther
Peterson officiating. Casketbearers were Andy Ryan,
Greg Kezar, Todd Kezar, Jason Kezar, Paul Laymon,
Don Kargel, Todd Hallin and Jerry Kezar. Interment
was in Viking Cemetery in Viking Township of
Marshall County.
Inga
Dorothea Moen was born in Spruce Valley Township on
February 24, 1917, the daughter of Andrew K. and
Alida (Iverson) Moen. She grew up and attended
Spruce Valley School and Middle River High School.
She worked on a farm near Warren.
On
March 2, 1935, Inga was united in marriage to
Clarence A. Kezar. The couple made their home near
Viking, where she was a homemaker and raised 11
children. She was also employed at the Land O'Lakes
turkey plant in Thief River Falls for 15 years,
retiring in 1987. She became a resident of CNC in
2002. Inga enjoyed gardening, quilting, collecting
mugs, banks, stamps, pens, state plates and
coins.
Survivors
include nine children, Donald (Darlene) of Thief
River Falls, Richard (Vivian) of East Grand Forks,
Florence (Eugene) Kargel of Hackensack, Irving
(Peggy) of Duncanville, Texas, Vivian (Gerald)
Hallen of Dawson, Albert of Viking, Kathy Aune of
Thief River Falls, Keven (Carol) of Aitkin, and
LeAnn Ryan of Fosston; 31 grandchildren; 39
great-grandchildren; a sister, Bertha Tunheim of
Newfolden; one niece and three nephews.
Inga
was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence;
sons, Curtis and Harlan; a grandson; her parents; a
sister, Borghild Rehder; brothers, Knute, Henry,
Magnus and Arthur; one niece and one nephew; and
two sons-in-law, Vernon Aune and Steven Ryan.
