- Joseph Kazmierczak died on Thursday, January
22, 2004.
Funeral
services were held on Monday, Jan. 26, at
Assumption Catholic Church in Florian. Interment
was held at Assumption Cemetery in Florian.
Joseph
Kazmierczak was born March 8, 1913 in Stephen, the
son of Mikolai and Julianna (Borowicz) Kamierczak.
He was
united in marriage to Frances Gerszewski on
November 26, 1946 at St John's Catholic Church in
rural Argyle. They made their home on the family
farm where he farmed all of his life. He also
worked at Arctic Enterprise in Thief River Falls
for many years.
He was a
lifelong member of Assumption Catholic Church of
Florian where he served as trustee for many years.
Joseph
was an avid story teller and enjoyed playing
pinochle and dominoes with his
grandchildren.
Survivors
include his wife, Frances; four daughters and one
son, Audrey of Bismarck, N.D., Theresa (Vernon) of
Strandquist, Diane of Karlstad, Rita (Ken) Hodny of
Newfolden, and Joseph E. (Kim) of Stephen; a
sister, Polly Kuznia of Stephen; Sixteen
grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; many nieces
and nephews and a very special friend, Meridith.
He was
preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Frank,
John, Tony, Raymond, Roman, Pete and Leonard; and a
