Jason Juhl, 31

Karlstad - Jason Juhl, 31, died Friday, May 10, 2002 at Northwest Medical Center in Thief River Falls. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 16, at Juhl Obit Heritage Christian School in Karlstad with Rev. Jeffrey Helsius officiating. Pastor Bob Ludwig was the pianist, and Rev. Helsius and Dawniss Hanson served as vocalists. Casketbearers were Jason Johnson, David Zillmer, Jeremy York, Larry Juhl Jr., Roman Gudmundson Jr., Pete Gudmundson, Jay Vagle, Troy Vagle, and Daniel York. Interment was in Karlstad Cemetery in Karlstad with Collins Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Jason Lee Juhl was born on February 8, 1971 at Karlstad, the son of Leland and Miriam (Vagle) Juhl. He grew up at Lake Bronson and attended Heritage Christian School at Karlstad for six years. Jason graduated from Maplewood Academy at Hutchinson in 1989 and then attended the Northwest Technical College in East Grand Forks for auto mechanics.

Jason worked at Motor Coach Industries in Pembina, N.D. for five years, was employed by Helm Enterprises at Drayton, N.D., was an independent truck operator for several years, and was presently employed at Dean Foods in Thief River Falls.

On September 1, 1996, he was united in marriage to Kasey Koland at Lake Bronson. The couple had since resided in Karlstad.

Jason is survived by his wife, Kasey; twin daughters, Kourtney and Kaylee, at home; his parents, Leland and Miriam Juhl of Lake Bronson; a sister, Angie Zillmer of Monticello; his paternal grandparents, Lester and Hilda Juhl of East Grand Forks; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.

Preceding him in death were his maternal grandparents. A00003B2002MY22
