Jorgenson, 82
Argyle
- Clifford Jorgenson, 82, died on Sunday,
September 1, 2002 at the Good Samaritan Center in
Warren.
Funeral
services will be held on
Thursday,
September 5 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima
Catholic Church in Argyle with Rev. Gary LaMoine
officiating. Norita Beaudry will be the organist
and music will be provided by St. Rose Choir.
Casketbearers will be Luke Snobeck, Corey
Jorgenson, Dustin Jorgenson, Jonathon Jorgenson,
Larry Jorgenson, Kenny Jorgenson, Kevin Jorgenson,
Jerry Kostrzewski and Larry Kostrzewski. Honorary
casketbearers will be Alton Jorgenson, Melvin
Jorgenson, George "Hillman" Jorgenson, Vernon
Jorgenson, Edward Kostrzewski, Stanley Kostrzewski,
Edmund Kostrzewski and Raymond Kostrzewski.
Interment will be in St. Rose Cemetery in
Argyle.
Visitation
will be held on Wednesday, September 4 after 5 p.m.
with a 7 p.m. prayer service at St. Rose of Lima
Catholic Church. Visitation will also take place
for one hour before services on
Thursday.
Clifford
Jorgenson was born on April 10, 1920, the son of
George O. and Hannah (Myrfield) Jorgenson in rural
Argyle. He attended country school. After his
schooling, Clifford went to Montana and worked on
the railroad. On October 22, 1945, he was united in
marriage to Gertrude Kostrzewski at the Assumption
Catholic Church in Florian. The couple lived at
various places in the area until settling in Argyle
in 1951. In 1948, Clifford went to work for the
Great Northern Railroad which later became the
Burlington Northern Railroad. He retired on June 1,
1985.
Clifford
was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.
He enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, trapping gophers,
gardening and visiting with people.
Survivors
include his wife, Gertrude; three children, Gordon,
(Beverly) of Argyle, Luvenia (Daniel) Snobeck of
Detroit Lakes and Ernest of Argyle; seven
grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four
brothers, Alton Jorgenson of Warren, Melvin (Verna)
Jorgenson of Warren, George "Hillman" (Jane)
Jorgenson of Iron and Vernon (Joan) Jorgenson of
Thief River Falls; and many nieces and
nephews.
Clifford
was preceded in death by his parents; three
children, Joseph, Richard and Lila; a
granddaughter; and two brothers, Oliver and Lloyd.
