Stephen
- Roger A. Jopp, 48, of Stephen died Tuesday,
January 6, 2004 at North Valley Health Center in
Warren.
Funeral
services were held on Saturday, Jan. 10, at 4 p.m.
at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Stephen, with
Father Vincent Miller officiating. Casket bearers
included Mike Jopp, Jason Yutrzenka, Garrit Winge,
Jade Fredrickson, Lance Fredrickson, Marc Loeffler,
John Loeffler, Adam Cowan and David Kuznia.
Interment was held in St. Stephen Cemetery in
Stephen.
Roger
Allyn Jopp was born on April 3, 1955 in Warren, the
son of Leonard and Gertrude (Osowski) Jopp. He grew
up in the Stephen area and graduated from Stephen
High School in 1973 and was a lifelong resident of
Stephen. He was a member of St. Stephen Catholic
Church of Stephen. Roger owned and operated
Northern Sanitation for over 25 years. Roger had a
following of friends as big as he was a man. His
love of life was his family, friends and racing.
Survivors
include his wife Renae; one son, Cale of Stephen;
one daughter Jennifer of Grand Forks, N.D.;
sisters, Renae (Jim) Yutrzenka of Argyle, Pamela
(Dennis) Winge of Donaldson; Kathy (Terry)
Fredrickson of Drayton, N.D.; Michelle Jopp and
Lynelle Jopp of Fargo, N.D. and Cheri (Gary) Gorvin
of Kennedy; brothers, Kevin of Grafton, N.D. and
Shannon (Carole) of Fargo, N.D.; as well as many
nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, grandnieces and
grandnephews.
He
was preceded in death by his parents Leonard and
Gertrude Jopp and his grandparents.
