Viola Johnson, 94 Minneapolis - Viola Johnson, 94, formerly of Thief River Falls, died on Tuesday, July 15, 2003 at North Memorial Hospital in Minneapolis. Funeral services were held on Monday, July 21 at Billman-Hunt Funeral Home in Minneapolis with the Rev. Ken Marberg officiating. Interment was in Hillside Cemetery in Minneapolis. Viola A. Johnson was born in Bray Township on November 1, 1908, the daughter of Iver A.H. Johnson, of Norway, and Maria Erickson of Sweden. She attended school in Bray Township and Thief River Falls. She married Hazler Johnson of Minneapolis. Viola worked with the Department of Defense at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. Survivors include one nephew, two nieces and many grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Viola was preceded in death by her husband, Hazler; her parents; a sister, Mabel; and brothers, Arnold, Gottfred, Eldor, Victor and Edward. A00003B2003JL23
