Ingvald Johnson, 100

Minneapolis - Ingvald Johnson, 100, died Saturday, November 17, 2001.
Ingvald Johnson was born on May 11, 1901 in East Valley Township of Marshall County, the son of Erick and Betsy (Danielson) Johnson.
On October 10, 1932, he married Bertha Sylvia Maijala. From 1932 until 1959, Ingvald farmed near Middle River. In 1959, he and Bertha moved to Minneapolis where Ingvald worked on the maintenance staff at Augsburg College until his retirement in the late 1960's. Bertha died on December 4, 1999.
While residing near Middle River, Ingvald was active in Immanuel Lutheran Church of East Valley Township. He was a member of Minnehaha Communion Lutheran Church of South Minneapolis.
Family members include two sons, Ingvald Walfrid Johnson of Aiea Heights, Hawaii and Marshall Johnson of Minneapolis; a daughter, Sylvia Caesar of Federal Way, Wash.; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. A00003B2001NV28
