River Falls - Dolores C. Johnson, 85, died
Monday, April 26, 2004 at CNC Unit of Northwest
Medical Center in Thief River Falls.
Mass
of Christian Burial was held on Friday, April 30 at
St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Thief River Falls,
with Father Tim McGee, celebrating. Casket bearers
included Bill Shook, Andrew Shook, Roger Hible and
Dale Glass. Interment will be at St. Bernard's
Catholic Cemetery in Thief River Falls.
Dolores
Cecilia Bail was born October 28, 1918 in Penn,
N.D., the daughter of George and Emma (DeMars)
Bail. She grew up and lived in Penn until
graduating from high school in 1937.
On
January 1, 1940, Dolores was united in marriage to
Harold Johnson in Penn. She began her employment
with Union State Bank, now Wells Fargo, as a
bookkeeper and head bookkeeper. She then became an
auditor and assistant vice president at Union State
Bank.
Dolores
was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church,
American Legion Auxiliary and Eagle's Auxiliary,
all of Thief River Falls and enjoyed cooking.
She
is survived by one son, Alan of Minneapolis and
many nieces and nephews.
Dolores
was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; her
parents; sisters, Edith Sloman, Josephine Gessner,
Beatrice Nelson, Evelyn Tinklenberg; and one
brother, Leo Bail.
