- Alden Johnson, 88, died Saturday, March 24,
2001 at Karlstad Healthcare Center in
Karlstad.
Funeral
services will be held at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday,
March 28) at Gieseke Funeral Chapel in Greenbush
with Rev. Ernie Christensen officiating. Linda
Sovde will be the organist, and vocalists will be
Joanne Gunderson and Arlene Jenson. Family members
will serve as casketbearers. Interment will be in
Badger City Cemetery in Badger.
Alden
Morris Johnson was born on September 2, 1912 in
Benwood, the son of Albert W. and Mabel (Lang)
Johnson. He moved to the Badger area with his
parents in 1919 and graduated from Badger High
School in 1931.
Alden
operated the family farm, did custom threshing for
neighbors for nine years and served as Stokes
township clerk for several years. He retired in
1997 and had since resided at Eventide Home in
Roseau and the care centers in Greenbush and
Karlstad.
Survivors
include a brother, Cordie Johnson of Badger; a
sister, Nora Burton of Moorhead; and two nieces,
five nephews and their families.
Alden
was preceded in death by his parents and a sister,
