Arthur John, 51 Roseau - Arthur John, 51, died on July 3, 2004 at the Altru Hospital in Grand Forks. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 8, at the Helgeson Funeral Chapel of Roseau, beginning at 3 p.m. Arthur William John, the son of Irene Kolar and Richard John was born on June 10, 1953 in St. Paul. He grew up and attended school in St. Paul, graduating from St. Paul Central High School. He worked as an auto mechanic and later moved to Middle River, then to Thief River Falls, working at Michael Motors and finally to Roseau for the last 11 years, working as an auto mechanic for Sorensen Chevrolet. Arthur loved hunting and fishing, and riding his Harley-Davidson. He was a faithful brother to his fellow Northriders. Survivors include his mother, Irene Kolar of St. Paul; sister, Mary Ferris of Woodbury; brother, Richard John of Oakdale; several nephews and many great-nieces and great-nephews; and his Northriders brothers and many friends.
